Miss Grand Vietnam (Vietnamese: Hoa hậu Hòa bình Việt Nam) is a national beauty contest of Vietnam that has been held biennially since 2022.[1]
The current Miss Grand Vietnam is Lê Hoàng Phương from Khánh Hòa, who was crowned on August 27, 2023 at Phú Thọ Indoor Stadium in Hồ Chí Minh City, Vietnam.[2]
History[edit]
Representing Vietnam in the Miss Grand International contest from 2013 to 2014, the contestants themselves participated with their own money to buy copyrights and were invited to participate by the local contest organizers.[3] From 2015 to 2017, the right to appoint representatives belongs to Elite Vietnam, the representative at the contest is the runner-up of the Miss AoDai Vietnam contest and from other contests in the Vietnam.[4] From 2018 to 2021, SenVang Entertainment holds the copyright and appoints the Vietnam representative from the Miss Vietnam and Miss World Vietnam contests.[5] And starting from 2022 until now, SenVang Entertainment has organized a national contest as Miss Grand Vietnam.[6]
Vietnam is the first Asian country to host Miss Grand International, as well as hosting the most after the host country, Thailand, with a total of 3 times, which are the years 2017, 2023 and 2027.
