- Spain, Portugal, Morocco – After a meeting in Lisbon between the three nations, Moroccan football president Fouzi Lekjaa said in an interview that all three countries would host the 2029 FIFA Club World Cup as a preparation event for the 2030 FIFA World Cup.[4] Morocco had originally wanted to host the event by themselves.[5]
