A female version of Dar-Benn appears in The Marvels (2023), portrayed by Zawe Ashton.[3] This version is a warrior revolutionary who wields an Accuser's hammer and the other half of the Quantum Bands that Kamala Khan had in her possession and is trying to restore the Kree's planet of Hala after it was devastated in a civil war.[3][4][5] Director Nia DaCosta encouraged Ashton to prioritize her agility and strength in her training.[4] The Kree civil war was caused by Captain Marvel after she destroyed the Supreme Intelligence, and was dubbed by the Kree "the Annihilator," which leads to Dar-Benn's grudge against her. After discovering a Quantum Band on MB-418, Dar-Benn tore apart jump points in space to extract natural resources from various planets to restore her homeworld, targeting Tarnax IV, Aladna, and Earth. In the process, Dar-Benn ruined diplomatic peace talks between the Kree and the Skrulls. Before Dar-Benn could siphon energy from the Earth's Sun to reignite Pama, she faced intervention from Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau and Ms. Marvel. In a bid to harness the combined power of two Quantum Bands, Dar-Benn spitefully created a multiversal wormhole, but the cosmic energy from the two bands proved too destructive and disintegrated her.
