Biography
[edit]Williams was born on 24 September 1972 in London, the only child of Judi Dench and Michael Williams.[1][4] Williams trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London, graduating in 1994.[2]
She has one son named Sam (b. 6 June 1997).[4] Her mother, Judi Dench, has said that Williams did not tell her she was going to be a grandmother until days before the birth.[4]
Williams' picture appears in the opening credits of the British romantic comedy television series, starring her mother, As Time Goes By.

On June 6, her beloved only child, Finty, 24, went into labour and produced a son, Sam. Mother and daughter have always been very close: "There is nothing that Finty couldn't tell me," Dench has said in the past. Yet neither she nor her husband realised that their daughter was about to become a single parent until a few days before the birth.
