Career

[edit]

Macinnes made her Commonwealth Games debut at the age of 16, in the Women's 100m Butterfly, Women's 200m Butterfly and the Women's 4 × 100 m Medley Relay.[3] Four years later she competed in the same three events at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

She won the gold medal at the 2023 British Swimming Championships in the 100 metres butterfly.[4]

The success led to her selection for the 2023 World Championships.[5]

After winning both the 100 metres butterfly and the 200 metres butterfly at the 2024 Aquatics GB Swimming Championships, Macinnes sealed her place at the 2024 Summer Olympics.[6]
