Template talk:Isle of Wight

Hello,

I'm hoping to make this template a little bit more like the county templates used elsewhere for England (see, Template:Devon, or Template:Greater Manchester for examples). However, I realise the Isle of Wight is slightly different. Can we use Template:Navbox to make this template a little more consistent with others? --Jza84 |  Talk  23:44, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • I first made this template but I used no reference, I just made it up. If I'd looked at the template you suggest I'd probably have used that as a starting point. I've no objection at all if anyone wants to make it more consistent with other similar boxes, so long as all the information is included. Naturenet | Talk 11:12, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hello there. As you may notice, I have been successful in transforming the Isle of Wight template that Jza84 made into the standard template that ALL English counties use; it took a few gos and quite a long time to transform, because of all the information needed to be gathered to put together but it's finally complete. Feel free to add your own data to it and remove anything which may not be relavent to the template. JAU123. JAU123 (talk) 16:12, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Phantom items[edit]

The template shows an item: See also: List of civil parishes in Isle of Wight. This does not show up in the code for the template. It also is linked to an old version of the link.--Auric (talk) 14:00, 15 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
