Deepest condolences

[edit]

Dear Helpfuleconomist, My deepest condolences go out to you and your family on the passing of your uncle. I am very sorry for your loss. Thank you for notifying me of the memorial service and celebration of his life. He will live on in the hearts of so many. Your uncle, known fondly here on Wikipedia as "Possibly" and before that as "ThatMontrealIP" was my best Wiki-friend, and I miss him terribly. What an amazing editor, a brilliant researcher, and a wonderful artist he was. His witty sense of humor often had me laughing out loud. I looked to him as my mentor, and he taught me many things. He helped me through some rough times, like when I was stalked off-line by a hostile person, he was the first editor I contacted to ask for help with how to handle the situation. He was admired by many people here on the encyclopedia, and he is greatly missed by those who interacted with him. Wikipedia just does not seem the same without "Possibly". He made such an enormous contribution to human knowledge; created hundreds of articles on women and indigenous artists; helped newcommers at the Teahouse and New Page Patrol; fought against mis-use of WP in relation to conflict of interests and undisclosed paid editing. He had so much integrity! I am grateful to have had him as a friend. I wish you and those close to him peace and comfort. Kindest regards, Netherzone (talk) 21:45, 13 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
