Verification[edit]

I happened to come across your question at User talk:Kingsif. See WP:FAILEDVERIFICATION. As always on Wikipedia, you don't need to prove that you're right to take action. See also Wikipedia:WikiProject Resource Exchange for access to paywalled articles. --~~~~

Thank you for that advice. If that editor challenges then I would go to Wikipedia:WikiProject Resource Exchange, but don't think it's absolutely necessary yet as I see no reason why they think they can challenge it. I instead went on to remove some parts (that was correct) but redundant to mention such as the Fina report stating that the swimmer was let off with a warning. That part is already extensively mentioned in paragraphs above and doesn't need repeating. But the part where it was claimed that no lawsuit was ever filed. That may or may not be correct but it's ultimately not supported by source. The provided source is both 5 years old and doesn't even mention any lawsuits. And the part where Sun had signed the paperwork, was not shown anywhere in the source. What's alarming is citing a paywalled source that doesn't even support the edits. That same editor seemed to be warned about adding unsourced edits before 2 years ago but it's good to know there's ways to deal with that. Thanks again for that tip. If you want me to comment on the situation, it would be useful to mention the article, so that I don't have to explore your Contributions history and guess what you're talking about. --Macrakis (talk) 14:29, 31 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
