Thank you.

A tag has been placed on The Asbestos requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Adolphus79 (talk) 21:08, 20 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rodrigo

[edit]

I did not list Rodrigo's transfer under Castilla because he was not officially named to the team; he was still playing with the Juvenil A team. I have done the same with Álvaro Morata and Samu eventhough both had played games with Madrid C. I am currently looking for notable material for an article about Real Madrid's youth section. In that article, I will list transfers for players like Rodrigo. Raul17 (talk) 18:33, 31 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Morata

[edit]

I list players by their registered teams. Morata was registered for the Juvenil B team. He was recalled for a few Madrid C matches. I am not sure how many matches he played with Juvenil A. He was not on the team sheet for any of the Copa de Campeones and he started in three of the Copa del Rey matches: the home QF against Cornèlla and both SF against Espanyol. The Madrid FA site keeps the registrations of each club and that was how I learned that Juan Carlos, Luis Hernández, and Nacho were promoted to Castilla from Madrid C at the close of the winter window (and two additions to Juvenil C). In fact, Fran Sol was his teammate with the Juvenil B. Last term, Madrid only named 23 players for their 25-man Juvenil A roster. Of those 23, five were 18-year old midfielders: Carlos Expósito, Álvaro López, Jordi Martín, Gonzalo Poley & Lucas Vázquez (all assigned to Madrid C now); three were 18-year old forwards: Rodrigo, Oscar Plano & Samu; three 17-year old midfielders: Mohamed Kamil, Álex & Pablo Sarabia; and two 17-year old forwards: Alípio & Rubén Sobrino. Madrid only fielded 23 players for their 25-man Juvenil B and only 19 (all 16 years old) for the 25-man Juvenil C but added two more for Juvenil C. I do not know why Morata & Fran Sol were on the B team, but all the players can play for any of the three teams but there is only a 16-man game roster. As I said before, hopefully I will add a youth page. Raul17 (talk) 22:11, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Alípio

[edit]

I have no ideal if he´s on loan or not! In fact, I thought I read somewhere (either Marca or AS) that his transfer is not official! According to the Germany's transfermarkt.de, he moved on to Benfica. He is not listed on Madrid's Juvenil roster, but that is finalized in September. Other than an article stating he will be with benfica next season (and it appears that he will be on loan to another club!!), there is nothing about him. My guess is that he will be on loan for two seasons: playing for anther Portugese club and then benfica the following season with an option for a permanent assignment. But then again, like Marcos Alonso & Rodrigo, it might as well be a straight transfer with Madrid getting buy-back rights.

Sorry, I am not Spanish nor do I speak it. I wish I did then me and my buddy Raymond Cruise can discuss the Rayo Cantabria mess. Raul17 (talk) 22:52, 21 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • I found an article from AS dated July 2, that Madrid and Benfica have an agreement for Rodrigo & Alípio. The cost was around €10 million (€6 mill for Rodrigo). It seems that Benfica signed both to 5-year contracts. That Portugese article is hinting that Alípio might be sent out on loan this season. My guess is that Madrid has the same buy-back clause for Alípio like it has for Rodrigo: double the transfer fee after the first two years. Raul17 (talk) 17:37, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Just asking

[edit]

Is the Spanish site going mirror the English version covering the Madrid reserves & youth section? Raul17 (talk) 22:43, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry. I was asking if the Spanish site was decreasing its coverage of the reserves and cantera. The last two seasons, the English site only covered Castilla and then gave more stories of the Juvenil A team when it qualified for the Copa de Campeones and Copa del Rey for a shot at wininig three titles. The season started and there is no team page for either Castilla or Madrid C. There was always a team page showing the coaching staff, a player roster, schedule and standings for each squad. I am doubting that this will happen this season. Of the six pre-season games, there was only two previews and one review for Madrid C. Raul17 (talk) 18:36, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fran Rico

[edit]

When did Fran Rico played in the Madrid cantera? He started his Madrid career in the 2008-09 season for Castilla with Javi Modrego, Miguel Palanca and Gary Kagelmacher. He did not play for Madrid C.

Check the 2008-09 transfers and the stats.

I do not know how many games he played that season. Raul17 (talk) 22:34, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Okay. This is better! I am still trying to find a reliable source for games he played in and started.Raul17 (talk) 21:01, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Club name(s)

[edit]

Hi there XAVIER, VASCO from Portugal here,

Regarding your summary and my subsequent change at Marcos Alonso Mendoza, i'll try to justify my changes and approach. Yes, i am aware that there is no club in the world named "REAL MADRID B" (but it was the club's name in the 90's!), it's just a matter of two things: quick info (so the people know it's the reserve side) and box compression (REAL MADRID CASTILLA is too long).

Hope you can understand my changes, take care, keep up the good work, saludos - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 18:55, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Real Madrid Castilla stats

[edit]

I have not noticed before, but I think you can find game stats at Rfef. Just tab down to correct Segunda divisíon group and then the season. Raul17 (talk) 00:45, 9 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Javi Velayos

[edit]

No, I did not know nor do I understand how that can be! To my understanding, the transfer period is from July 1 to August 31 and January 1 to January 31 (or February 1 or 2 if Jan. 31 is on the weekend) for the Primera, Segunda & Segunda B Divisiones, and July 1 to January 31 for the Tercera División. There was no annoucement from the Madrid site (which is not surprising) nor any of the sites that cover Madrid clubs in the amateur or semi-professional leagues!! It is surprising because Velayos was included in the official team picture which had 27 players: 21 official players, 2 injured players & the 4 Juvenil A players. Futbolme has him still listed with Castilla, but the Madrid FA site has him with Getafe B (but then again, it still has Samu listed for Castilla!!) Checking back, he started the last two games for Getafe B. This bites!! Raul17 (talk) 03:03, 8 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, buying out his contract would have been the only way he could sign for another club, but usually the website would mention his departure. A few players were released during pre-season and there were annoucements made. With Velayos being one of the captains, it was very surprising that there was no story!! Very glad that the site has published the Cantera rosters!! Do not hold your breathe for the English site, though. It has been a few years since that has happened!! Thanks again!! Raul17 (talk) 23:09, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

RM Castilla Roster

[edit]

Álex, Carvajal, Morata & Sarabia are in similar situation that Juan Carlos, Luis Hernández & Nacho were last season: playing for Castilla while not officially registered to Castilla. Last season, the latter three players on Madrid C's roster and were promoted and added to the roster during the January winter window period. This season, the former are officially on the Juvenil A roster. Segunda División B clubs can only register 22 players. Eventhough the Madrid FA site still has Samu with Castilla, its roster is within the Rfef's roster limit while the Madrid site is 4 players over! Raul17 (talk) 06:58, 12 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Cerro Reyes

[edit]

Saludos - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 01:08, 6 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Madrid C stats

[edit]

Sorry X, I have not found a site for Real Madrid C stats yet. I have been using info from www.elgoldemadriz.com for goals scored (I beleive that the Futbolme site might have errors at times.) The Rfef site used to have them, but they have stopped several years ago. The Ffm site is good for yellow & red cards, but there is not even a goal scoring sheet from them!! I use them for official team rosters (You might have noticed that I use § on the Castilla & Madrid C rosters to indicate players that are on Juvenil A roster.) I have been searching the web for fansites that might help, but so far I have not. The Madrid site itself stopped following the third team three seasons ago!! That is why I am hoping that Castilla & Madrid C both win promotions, it will be easier to follow the third team in the Segunda B. Thanks! Raul17 (talk) 18:26, 8 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fran Rico's goal (???)

[edit]

I disagree with your statement & observation of the third goal in the Castilla-Atlético B match. There are penty of goals that had net intention and direction and were still credited as own goals; especially those where shots are deflected by sliding defenders into the net. When I saw this clip of the goal around the 0:35 mark, it looked like it should have been scored an own goal because the ball was placed into the net by the defender's action. The criteria I use is did the man play the ball, or did the ball play the man which is what a referee uses (or should use) when judging a handball. If Fran Rico's free kick was deflected by someone on the wall into the net, then by all means give him the goal. In this case, the defender was running towards his goal and made contact with the ball and headed the ball into the net.

It's on everywhere

I have a few sites that scored that goal as an own goal:

I do not trust Futbolme completely because in past seasons they had credited goals to players that were more than total for the team(s) or that goalkeepers were allowing more goals than team total. Adding goals for each team is suppose to equal the total of goals against for every team which was not the case. (FYI:this year is the first time I can recall that any Real Madrid team has granted goals or points because of a club being expelled or folding during the season.) Caio! Raul17 (talk) 05:01, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I normally go to Rfef first (especially for yellow & red cards), but the page could not download! When I saw the clip, there was no way Fran Rico was getting a goal and I do not know why the ref gave him the goal. Like I said, I saw plenty of own goals that should have been given to the attacking player. Another reason why it should have been an own goal, I think Fran Rico was given an indirect free-kick. If he pretended to be the original glam-boy and kicked the ball directly into the net, it would have (or should have) been disallowed. There was only two-man wall, so I am sure that was not direct free-kick. Raul17 (talk) 14:04, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

this article contains utter lie as far as his early career goes. He did not appear for Celta de Vigo B until 2008, not 2004. I have already corrected BOX/storyline, could you do the same with statistics chart please (i'm very messy with those)?

Doubt about Honours

Castilla's 1st place finishes are still recognized as league championships. Futbolme has been listed all the 1st place finishers with league champions and added runner-up status to those finalists in Segunda División B championship match from last three seasons.
