DG Cement is a Pakistani building materials company which is owned by Nishat Group.[4] It is one of the largest cement manufacturer of Pakistan with a production capacity of 14,000 tons per day.[5][6]
The company has three active plants which are present in Khairpur, Chakwal, Dera Ghazi Khan and Hub, Balochistan.[5]
History[edit]
DG Cement was established in 1986 by state-owned company, State Cement Corporation of Pakistan in Dera Ghazi Khan.[7] The plant was supplied by Ube Industries of Japan.[7]
In 1992, DG Cement was acquired by Nishat Group.[8]
In 2004, DG Cement established its second plant in Khairpur, Chakwal at a cost of PKR 9 billion.[9]
In 2015, DG Khan setup its third and one of the largest plant of Pakistan in Hub, Balochistan.[10]
