Leslie Berland

Leslie Berland is the CMO of Verizon, as of December 2023. She was formerly the CMO of Peleton and Twitter.[1]

She was also Head of People[2] at Twitter.[3] Prior to that she spent over a decade[4] in executive roles at AmEx[5] establishing[6] the financial service company’s initial social media strategies.[7] (She also had executive PR roles at Ketchum[8] and GCI Health.[9] She is on the board of directors[10] of the Ad Council.[11]

Forbes ranked Berland #3 in their World's Most Influential CMOs list.[12] Fast Company ranked Berland sixth[13] in their 100 Most Creative People in Business[14] for persuading AmEx leadership to prioritize social media platforms.[15] She was featured in Advertising Age's Creativity 50 list.[16] In 2018, she was appointed to the National Board of Directors at Make a Wish Foundation[17]
