List of current champions in TNA Wrestling

From Wikipedia the free encyclopedia

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) is an American professional wrestling promotion based in Nashville, Tennessee. Title reigns are either determined by professional wrestling matches or are awarded to a wrestler as a result of the culmination of various scripted storylines. There are two active singles championships and one active tag team championship for (primarily) male wrestlers, a singles and tag team championship specifically for female wrestlers, and an open championship available to anyone.

Eight wrestlers currently hold the championships. The list includes the number of times the wrestler has held the title, the date and location of the win, and a description of the winning bout. The following is correct as of April 22, 2024.[1]

Overview

Men

At the top of the TNA championship hierarchy is the TNA World Championship. The championship is currently held by Moose, who is in his second reign. He defeated Alex Shelley on January 13, 2024, at Hard To Kill to win the title.

The secondary title is the TNA X Division Championship, which is currently held by first time champion Mustafa Ali, who defeated Chris Sabin on February 23, 2024 at No Surrender.[2]

The TNA World Tag Team Championship is currently held by The System (Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers), who are in their first reign as a team. Individually, this is Edwards' sixth reign and Myers' second. The defeated ABC (Ace Austin and Chris Bey) on March 8, 2024 at Sacrifice to win the titles.[3]

A wrestler who has held the World, X Division, and Tag Team Championships is recognized to have won the TNA Triple Crown. If any winner of the Triple Crown has also won either the TNA Television Championship or the Impact Grand Championship (both defunct), they are also recognized to have won the TNA Grand Slam.

Women

The top singles championship specifically contested for female wrestlers - promoted as the Knockouts division - is the TNA Knockouts World Championship, which is held by Jordynne Grace, who is in her third reign. She defeated Trinity on January 13, 2024, at Hard To Kill to win the title.[4]

The championship for female tag teams is the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship, which is held by Spitfire (Dani Luna and Jody Threat), who are in their first reign both individually and as a team. They defeated MK Ultra (Killer Kelly and Masha Slamovich) on March 8, 2024 at Sacrifice in Windsor, Ontario, Canada to win the titles.[3]

Open

The TNA Digital Media Championship is a tertiary level open championship. Crazzy Steve is the current champion in his first reign. He defeated Tommy Dreamer on January 13, 2024 during the Countdown to Hard To Kill preshow in a No Disqualification match to win the title.

A female wrestler who has held the Knockouts, Knockouts Tag Team and Digital Media Championships is considered to have won the Knockouts Triple Crown.[5]
