List of highest-grossing Telugu films

From Wikipedia the free encyclopedia

Telugu cinema, also known as Tollywood, consisting of films in the Telugu language. It is one of the largest film production centre in India. In 1977, the film Adavi Ramudu starring N. T. Rama Rao become the first film to collect one crore. The 1992 film Gharana Mogudu, directed by K. Raghavendra Rao and starring Chiranjeevi, is the first Telugu film to gross over 10 crore at the box office.[1] In 2015, Baahubali: The Beginning became the first Telugu film to cross 500 crore. Its 2017 sequel Baahubali 2: The Conclusion became the first Indian and Telugu film to cross 1000 crore.
