Pelle Miljoona (Literally “Clown Million”), real name Petri Samuli Tiili (born 10 February 1955 in Hamina, Finland) is a Finnish punk rock legend, author and musician,[1] He was part of the first wave of Finnish punk rock. Pelle's music has been strongly influenced by bands like The Clash, Sex Pistols, Stooges and MC5. Pelle has also recorded reggae and acoustic folk music.

He assembled his first band Pelle Miljoona & N.U.S in 1977. His first single was Olen työtön (English: I am unemployed) was released the same year. The first album Pelle Miljoona & N.U.S was released in 1978.

His biggest hit was in 1980 with Moottoritie on Kuuma (English: The motorway is Hot). This is also the title of his best-known album. The band playing on that album, Pelle Miljoona Oy included future Hanoi Rocks members Andy McCoy and Sami Yaffa. Another well-known song by Pelle Miljoona is Tahdon rakastella sinua (English: I Want to Make Love to You). This is usually considered to be Pelle Miljoona's song although it was sung by Tumppi Varonen, and written by Ari Taskinen with Pelle playing drums.

Pelle Miljoona has had several band line ups, e.g. Pelle Miljoona & N.U.S, Pelle Miljoona, Pelle Miljoona & 1978, Pelle Miljoona & 1980, Pelle Miljoona Oy, Pelle Miljoona & Avoimet Ovet, Miljoonaliiga, Pelle Miljoona & Linnunlaulu, Pelle Miljoona & Rockers, Pelle Miljoona Unabomber! and Pelle Miljoona United.

Pelle Miljoona has also written several novels and poetry collections.

Pelle Miljoona received the Juha Vainio Award [fi], which is awarded to lyricists, at Kotkan meripäivät [fi] festival in July 2015.[2]
