User:Hotwiki's changes[edit]

While I support some of them, I have a number of concerns further to my discussion with him:

  1. Colour - The pink colour was more suitable, and there is precisely no reason to go with the ugly grey that stands at present.
  2. Bars - Aid clarity. Removal is pointless fiddling that goes against the precedents set with other similar templates.

I looked into this, double-checking other band templates at Wikipedia:Navigation_templates#Musicians_and_bands, like Template:Pink_Floyd and Template:The_Beatles. All these templates are put together in this way, there's no reason for this one to break precedent. Driller thriller 17:23, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Color is now blue since you said it's the universal color of templates, why do we need bars while you can read them it just make the template bigger and the single, album, tv/dvd and related articles is on bold mode. Pink Floyd/Beatles' template we're edited so yesterday this is the new layout and the hide button makes it better. It's too bad only few members like two of us will just talk about this so I suggest stop reverting and stay with the new version--hottie 17:32, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That's not what I said: if you look at the templates for Kylie or Cradle of Filth for example, they are coloured to match the subject; there is a clear precedent for that. The hide button doesn't improve the template, it isn't big enough to warrant it in the first place and it's not even the point I'm objecting to. Driller thriller 17:37, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Umm, yeah, do what you will. The current batch of changes have just left me so confused. Driller thriller 20:29, 18 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, having seen it a couple of times I don't mind this latest colour change as much as I did. Maybe Discography ought to be in white if it stays though? Driller thriller 20:32, 18 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Now I look at it again I take that back, it's ugly as sin. Driller thriller 21:21, 18 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
More professional... Fair enough. Driller thriller 21:08, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I liked the pink and red thing... along with the colourised Sugababes template and the blue Aerosmith one, we had a nice rainbow going at Walk This Way! That article was the main reason for changing this template to use the {{Navigation}} template - when you have three or more in a row, they automatically hide, and there were three huge templates on that page. — AnemoneProjectors (talk) 22:18, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, a little variation in Wikipedia's colour scheme every once in a while wouldn't be the end of the world... Driller thriller 00:49, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tours[edit]

Do you think it would be worth adding an extra section for their tours instead of a link to the category? --The NCC Factor 21:25, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't the template too BIG? I say we chnage it back to a link under Related hippi ippi++++ 06:17, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
