Colors[edit]

Could some one edit this to have the colors of the House DVD page tables? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ymallet (talkcontribs) 22:23, 16 October 2006

Collapsable[edit]

Is it really necessary to have a collapsable function for a box that's barely 300 pixels high? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by GrahamGRA (talkcontribs) 22:03, 15 May 2007 (UTC).[reply]

I suppose not, but you don't need to use it. --Jojje 15:44, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Guests stars[edit]

Maybe we could add a new line to this template which has a list of guest stars (or guest characters if people prefer). They should only be significant guest stars (i.e. ones that starred in two or more episodes). We could have the actors that played (sorry I can't think of their real life names off the top of my head) Vogler, Tritter, Stacy, Amber and some of the other rejected fellows, Ali (the underage girl that fancied House) etc. I've probably forgotten one or two. Plus I heard rumours of Michael Weston starring for a few eps this season so that would be someone else to add if that happens. Good idea? Deamon138 (talk) 19:57, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have now added some of the notable guest stars. I didn't add the twins, the candidate who was a vet, the Nurse that starred in a lot of episodes, and most of the main characters parents, for lack of notability with regard to the show, but if someone feels one of them should be added, that is fine by me. I hope I did okay. Any complaints? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Deamon138 (talkcontribs)
Looks good to me. The only thing I would change is "Guest Stars" to "Guest stars" for consistency. --MZMcBride (talk) 19:08, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Good point, thanks. I've made that change now. Deamon138 (talk) 19:12, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think this would look better with the cast & crew listed above the guest stars - seems more logical to me to give higher billing to the regulars Niki2006 (talk) 12:33, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well they were originally, but then someone changed it. Deamon138 (talk) 15:38, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Seeing as there didn't seem to be any discussion on why a lot of links were removed from the navbox, I decided to separate the main and guest characters into separate sections. Figured it gave the whole navbox in general more clarity. I'll consider adding some notable crew members in as well, but I didn't want to go overboard due to the size of it. Page move request[edit]

Is there a particular reason why the template is YELLING AT ME? Can we move it Template:House? -- MacAddct1984 (talkcontribs) 00:47, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Done. --Hnsampat (talk) 01:09, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Their is zero chance that image is free. Gnevin (talk) 16:43, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
This image, or text depicted in it, only consists of simple geometric shapes and text. They do not meet the threshold of originality needed for copyright protection, and are therefore public domain. Brainmachine (talk) 21:55, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
sounds like bollocks to me. --Cameron Scott (talk) 13:44, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Brainmachine has laid out a rationale for why he believes the logo is public domain. You need to counter with something more than just "sounds like bollocks to me." --Hnsampat (talk) 14:05, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That the house logo is a registered trademark and just copying it out by hand doesn't mean we can use it in the same way that we couldn't use the Star Wars logo? --Cameron Scott (talk) 14:17, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Star Wars logo uses its own special font and arrangement. The House logo is just the word "HOUSE" with a square around the first letter and the rest underlined. There is a big difference. Dfsghjkgfhdg (talk) 01:28, 15 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm still unconvinced of the need to use a logo here rather than text. It is obviously trivial embellishment, which is covered by WP:ICONDECORATION, and so it doesn't matter if the image is free or not. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 08:17, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

An IP has reverted the removal of the logo without discussion. If said IP is not prepared to explain why we should be overriding WP:ICONDECORATION here then this should be removed again. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 08:18, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
