Notability[edit]

There are a lot of redlinks in this template right now. Please save all of us a lot of work by running new topics past WT:VG before creating a bunch of articles that will end up deleted for not having enough WP:VG/RS reliable sourcing. czar  20:49, 29 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Why the Pacific Championship Series should not be shortened to "Pacific"[edit]

The Pacific Championship Series features teams and players from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and all of Southeast Asia excluding Vietnam. These areas are collectively known as the "PCS" region. There is no term that can group all these areas without including countries that are not part of the "PCS" region (e.g. "Pacific" is too broad and is the name of an ocean, not a geographical region; "Asia Pacific" includes China, Korea, Japan, etc.) or excluding countries that are in the "PCS" region (e.g. In the 2020 Worlds format video, the speaker uses the term "Southeast Asia" when referring to Machi Esports and PSG Talon, despite the fact that both are based outside of Southeast Asia, in the cities of Taipei and Hong Kong respectively). Wikipedia should follow Leaguepedia's example, and just go by the name in the LoL Esports database, PCS. CentreLeftRight 21:28, 15 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
