World University Orienteering Championships[edit]

What do you think about adding World University Orienteering Championships to the template? --Dnikitin (talk) 23:53, 12 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, that should be fine. I added it to the foot-o events. I put it at the end, because this championship is restricted to students, and not open to "everybody". Oceanh (talk) 18:10, 13 January 2009 (UTC).[reply]
May be just WUOC rather than University Championships? --Dnikitin (talk) 18:59, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
 Done Ok. Changed it to WUOC. Oceanh (talk) 21:37, 13 January 2009 (UTC).[reply]

Move[edit]

Replaced by Template:Orienteering concepts Kslotte (talk) 13:48, 29 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Anyone knows how to get this moved and replace all old templates with the new one? Kslotte (talk) 14:55, 29 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Move what, where? --Una Smith (talk) 16:22, 29 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
This old template 'Orienteering' was replaced by 'Orienteering concepts'. All link references has already been corrected. Only thing left is to delete the 'Orienteering' template, that is currently only a redirect link to 'Orienteering concepts'. Anyone able mark this old template for deletion? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kslotte (talkcontribs) 18:51, 29 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

 Done Sometimes in May-June 2009. --Kslotte (talk) 14:46, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Moved templates: Footer Orienteering to Orientering events[edit]

I moved this template from Template:Footer Orienteering to here, in the process of splitting the template into two, the second template being {{Template:Orienteering}}. --Una Smith (talk) 21:07, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

 Done during March 2009 --Kslotte (talk) 14:50, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Candidates[edit]

Writing down candidates --Kslotte (talk) 06:17, 6 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

 Done during June 2009 --Kslotte (talk) 14:51, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Parameters[edit]

The template have been expanded to accept some paramters. But there is an issue with this:

Use {{Orienteering concepts|state1=collapsed|state2=uncollapsed}} for having the first group collapsed and second visible. Used for orienteering articles. Currently non-functional

Any ideas what is wrong? A request have been submitted to the Helpdesk --Kslotte (talk) 16:56, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think I fixed it. Please test it, whether it works as it should. Svick (talk) 15:02, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not able to get this template to autocollapse when the state is not set, but setting it to collapsed or uncollapsed should work. Svick (talk) 15:41, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the help. I made it now to have three parameters 'state', 'state1' and 'state2'. Anyway, I think this should be developed a bit further like having only one parameter lets say 'type' that can have values 'collapsed' (everything collapsed), 'concepts' (default, the concepts are shown) or 'events' (the event are shown). I will take a closer look of have to get it the next development stage. Any tip or hints are welcome? But, I think I should able to do it myself. And maybe the template could be renamed to only 'orienteering'. --Kslotte (talk) 00:57, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

 Done New template structure created. --Kslotte (talk) 16:22, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Parameter type[edit]

Lets bring these all state parameters together (according to above) and make the template simpler. I think this can be done with some 'if's. --Kslotte (talk) 01:25, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The logic I want to achieve is the following: --Kslotte (talk) 01:25, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • type=collapsed: state=collapsed, state1=uncollapsed, state2=collapsed
  • type=concepts (default): state=uncollapsed, state1=uncollapsed, state2=collapsed
  • type=events: state=uncollapsed, state1=collapsed, state2=uncollapsed
This seems very helpful. Probably a switch statement will do it. Maybe like this (have to verify it later):
  • State: {{#switch:type|collapsed=collapsed|concepts=uncollapsed|events=uncollapsed|uncollapsed}}
  • State1: {{#switch:type|collapsed=uncollapsed|concepts=uncollapsed|events=collapsed|uncollapsed}}
  • State2: {{#switch:type|collapsed=collapsed|concepts=collapsed|events=uncollapsed|collapsed}}
It may be good to create a new template 'Orienteering' that has this new parameters. --Kslotte (talk) 01:53, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
 Done Results --Kslotte (talk) 09:35, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Link to deleted portal removed[edit]

The Orienteering portal was recently deleted. I've removed the red link from the template. BlackcurrantTea (talk) 09:50, 29 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
