Hello Alicia313Records. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Alicia313Records. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Alicia313Records|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Theroadislong (talk) 22:22, 26 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Theroadislong: Hello Theroadislong,

Thanks for your message that I've just seen I talked with another Wikipedia member, I was waiting for his reply as well but you did before him to make me understand things better. As I said to the other Wikipedia member, I'm volunteer so there is no paid editing, I'm not going to receive any compensation at all but if I understand correctly I still have to disclose I'm a "COI" as I'm a volunteer "manager". The thing is, I don't really know where and how to disclose it. Moreover, I didn't get any notifications of your reply and I unfortunately edit the Sandbox (as I don't close my tabs, I know bad habits...)... When the page reloaded, I had this message: This article may have been created or edited in return for undisclosed payments, a violation of Wikipedia's terms of use. It may require cleanup to comply with Wikipedia's content policies. (January 2021) This is when I realized that you've replied. Am I in trouble? What does "cleanup" mean?

Thank you for your time.

Best regards, Alicia313Records (talk) 22:46, 26 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I think you would be deemed a paid editor if you are volunteering with them and you need to make the mandatory disclosure as per above on your user page. Theroadislong (talk) 22:57, 26 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Theroadislong: Hello Theroadislong,

Thank you for your message. I changed my COI. It shows properly on my Talk page, but I don't understand why it doesn't on my User page. I even tried to change it on my Sandbox, but seems like it doesn't work. Did I add the COI on the right places? What should I do next? Would I be able to touch my Lawson J Sandbox ever again? Will my Lawson J Sandbox be deleted? What should I do if I need to add other informations? Thanks so much for everything.

Best regards, Alicia313Records (talk) 21:28, 27 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have fixed the template by removing the "no Wiki code" which stops it being dispalyed. You are free to edit Draft:Lawson j but please be aware that it will need totally re-writing in a neutral encyclopdic tone with each substantive fact supported by a reliable independent reference. Theroadislong (talk) 21:35, 27 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Theroadislong:,

Oh! Thank you so much! Okay great! No problem. Can I please know what you call "a reliable independent reference"? And if you don't find those reference, could the article be deleted? I'm really thankful for your fast replies and your time. Best regards, Alicia313Records (talk) 21:53, 27 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I just checked and the COI shows on my User Page, tahnk you so much! It doesn't on the Sandbox, I tried to remove the "{{" but it doesn't change anything. How can I change this? Thank you so much! Alicia313Records (talk) 21:59, 27 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Click the links for more info on reliable sources and independent sources. Please be aware that he would need to pass the criteria at WP:GNG or WP:NMUSICIAN in order to qualify for an article and it's not at all clear that he does yet, so it may be a a case of WP:TOOSOON Theroadislong (talk) 22:25, 27 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Theroadislong:,

Thank you for those helpful informations. I totally understand. Even if it could be too soon for an article, do you think I can maintain this draft/Sandbox before asking for a review when I will be more sure that he could deserve an article. If yes, could you please tell me how long I could maintain it. It's written that it could be deleted in 6 months. Even if the article releases next year or even in 3 years, I want to keep my draft and be able to edit it to add all the informations that, as you said, an external volunteer will re-writing in a neutral encyclopedic tone with each substantive fact supported by a reliable independent reference

Thank you so much once again. Best regards, Alicia313Records (talk) 22:59, 27 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
