Hi folks, I've been in touch with Secret recently. He has been diagnosed with a chondrosarcoma in his pelvis which has spread to his lungs and will be having surgery in early September. “As you guys heard from Casliber a few months ago, I was diagnosed with stage 3 (now 4), chrondosarcoma. I had mixed results with my surgery and radiation treatment and I was given a diagnosis of 12-18 months to live by the Mayo Clinic when I did my second opinion and looked at my mris. I’m waiting from my original doctor what he’s planning on doing next. I have multiple biopsies and full body mri’s tomorrow. I’m conflicted whether to fight this diagnosis and likely sacrifice my quality of life (I have a lot to fight for) or just live out the rest of my days traveling, but dying in my own accord. If I decide fight, I plan to come back to Wikipedia on a full time basis. I probably won’t be able to work in my career field never again, so I will have a lot of free time in my hands. While I followed some aspects of the project since my retirement and disappearance. I’ll admit I’m not caught up with everything. I’ll be focusing mainly on major content work during my time here, and probably work on the deletion process again, which was my specialty back when I was an administrator. Hey Jorge, so sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I know we didn't start off great, and that's because of my childish behavior when I first started, but I am grateful for the time we did spend on Selena together...when I was civil. Although it is a far cry from its featured status that you singlehandedly accomplished, I do apologize for anything that I have said that was impolite and inappropriate towards you. It saddens me to read this about you, you have been such a great contributor and editor here and your advice definitely helped guide me in the right direction. You're the person who invited me to wiki-hurricanes way back in May 2014. I was originally Dustin V. S. on Wikipedia back then before changing my username in February 2017. I hope you are not only still around but doing well, and I wish you the best with your health and everything else. I just hadn't really thought to check your talk page for awhile, I guess in part because I knew you hadn't been active on Wikipedia in awhile. So it's been a few years since I last checked and you can imagine my surprise when I read the above discussions. So I wanted to let you know that I support you and appreciate you. Just inviting me to that channel when I was 16 made a fairly substantive impact on what I've done in my life since then, hard as it might be to believe, so thank you for that. I miss all the discussions we took part in together on IRC. Those were fun times, at least for me (and I hope for you). Again, I wish you the best and hope you see this.
