Disambiguation link notification[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Kuldip Nayar, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Indian and The Daily Star (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Kingfisher Calendar, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Archaios (talk) 17:18, 16 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You do understand, don't you...[edit]

...that these revenge edits of yours don't reflect positively on you?  Mbinebri  talk ← 15:36, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

there is no such feeling, my dear friend. We are all here to collectively improve Wikipedia, and don't own anything! There is nothing that you came with in this world and nothing that you shall carry with you ... we are just puppets of the Almighty while we live on Earth, and bid as He directs us. --Tinpisa (talk) 15:41, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Right... I guess it's just coincidence that after I had one of your articles merged that you're going after articles I created, including attaching a generic speedy tag to one, adding clearly unwarranted footnote tags to two others, then - after I introduce additional citations to two of the articles - requesting citations for almost every unsourced sentence, despite the fact that you don't hold your own created articles to the same standard. This is as obvious as revenge editing gets.  Mbinebri  talk ← 18:17, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think you meant to say that you had an article merged i.e. I don't think you can manage such things on Wikipedia. I hold nothing against anybody in this world, as I understand that their acts are all controlled by Him. Every fact listed on an article should be sourced, else an editor can surely mark it with a {{cn}} tag. I hope you don't grudge an editor who marks an article with a {{cn}} tag? And you are free to bring instances of unsourced facts on any page I have edited, or to add suitable sources to them. Thanks. --Tinpisa (talk) 09:38, 21 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Indic scripts & IPA[edit]

A month or so ago the discussion took place regarding indic scripts. It is archieved here and is further clarrified over here. Please go through these. I am reverting your edits on Saif Ali Khan. -Animeshkulkarni (talk) 11:07, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A discussion on a private space is no Wikipedia policy. The main context for the discussion was edit-warring on the native language in the articles. Till the discussion actually translates into a Wikipedia policy and is reflected in the Wikipedia space, it has no status. Also, please note that Bollyjeff was the first one to remove the native language stating that IPA is preferred, and there had been no edit-warring on this issue in the article. As such, your revert is unjustified. May I also point out that your other reversion in the article was also unjustified, as matter added to the lead was already in the main article (with source), and usually does not need to be sourced again when summarized in the lead. Please go through the Wikipedia policies in greater detail and understand them completely. Moreover, your edit summary and writing suggests that you have a weak grasp over English and don't understand the meaning of what you write, as I do not believe you would deliberately demean other editors. Happy learning and editing! --Tinpisa (talk) 12:53, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
In the edit just before mine, someone had removed one of two language scripts that were present, indicating a dispute. Wherever I find a dispute, I enforce the agreement. BollyJeff || talk 13:04, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Edit warring on Wikipedia is not one isolated edit, but repeated editing. Removal of one language script is justification enough to remove the other too! Great logic my friend! --Tinpisa (talk) 13:22, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You are free to open a discussion at Wikipedia talk:Noticeboard for India-related topics regarding the concerns you have with the above mentioned two discussions related to Indic scripts. Many editors are going to follow the concensus. Its better that you get it clarified before bumping into all editors on all articles. And thanks for the advice; i will buy one English grammar book. -Animeshkulkarni (talk) 13:09, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I have no such issues, my friend ... have no egos, and don't fear bumping into friendly people :) And don't buy a grammar book - your grammar seems fine. Its just that your sentences sometimes are very offensive to people like us here in Europe. --Tinpisa (talk) 13:22, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
