@Gumballhead1of2 Hi, thank you for responding. Overall, I thought the writing came off as promotional, and after a bit of searching, I found that some of your phrasing is directly copied from Gluckstein's promotional material. Needless to say, Wikipedia:Plagiarism should be avoided. My suggestion would be:

• Don't copy phrases or paraphrase closely. Explain things in your own words.
• Avoid long lists, like in the "Notable portrait photographs" section and "...spark meaningful discussions of racism, colonialism, indigeneity, sustainability, stewardship, justice, care, and healing".
• Avoid flowery phrasing like "A pivotal career chapter came in 2010" and "spark meaningful discussions"

I think the issue is that the text is written with the intent to impress and make a point, which is fine if you're writing a marketing blurb for a photographer. A Wikipedia article should be much drier, i.e. "This happened in this year. And then this happened. After that, this happened." Adeletron 3030 (talk • edits) 17:47, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
