Format
[edit]The top five teams from the previous tournament were placed in Group A and the teams that finished sixth through eighth in the 2023 tournament, plus two teams promoted from 2023 Division IA, will be placed in Group B. All of the teams in Group A and the top three teams from Group B continued to the knockout phase, while the bottom two teams from Group B were relegated. During the knockout stage, there was a re-seeding after the quarterfinals.[4]

All ten participating nations, through the confirmation of their respective national associations, had to submit a "Long List" roster no later than two weeks before the tournament.[5]
