Ballydesmond GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Ballydesmond in County Cork, Ireland. Its Gaelic Football team participates in competitions organized by Cork GAA, and is a member of Duhallow division. The club is located close to the border with County Kerry and is therefore involved in the sporting rivalry between the counties. The club has members with allegiances to both counties. Gaelic handball is also played within the club. The team won the Duhallow Junior A Football Championship in 2007. They subsequently went on to win the Cork Junior County Football Championship that same year and were promoted to the Cork Intermediate Football Championship. Club member Donncha O'Connor played for the Cork Senior Football Team. As of 2010, he was the all-time top scorer for the Cork Senior Footballers.[1][2]
