Bamingui-Bangoran is one of the 20 prefectures of the Central African Republic.[2] It covers an area of 58,200 km2 and had a population of 43,229 as of the 2003 census. The population density of 0.74/km2 is the lowest in the country.[3] The capital is Ndélé.
The Bamingui-Bangoran National Park and Biosphere Reserve is in the prefecture.
