Bretteville-sur-Laize (French pronunciation: [bʁɛtvil syʁ lɛz] ) is a commune in the Calvados department in the Normandy region in northwestern France.
The scene of heavy fighting following the Normandy landings, much of the town is of post-World War II construction.
Geography
[edit]The Commune with another 20 communes shares part of a 2,115 hectare, Natura 2000 conservation area, called the Vallée de l'Orne et ses affluents.[3]
