Brives-sur-Charente (French pronunciation: [bʁiv syʁ ʃaʁɑ̃t], literally Brives on Charente, before 1962: Brives)[3] is a commune in the Charente-Maritime department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region in southwestern France.
