Chépy (French pronunciation: [ʃepi]; Picard: Chpy) is a commune in the Somme department in Hauts-de-France in northern France.[3]
Geography
[edit]The commune is situated on the D465 and D65 crossroads, some 15 km (9 mi) southwest of Abbeville.

Controversy
[edit]The official spelling of the name of the commune is "Chépy" as specified by the Official Geographical Code of the French Republic.[3] Some inhabitants in this commune believe the spelling "Chépy" is wrong and should be replaced by "Chepy" and pronounced thus.
