Galium sterneri or limestone bedstraw[1] is a plant species of the Rubiaceae.[2] It is native to northern Europe (Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Great Britain, Ireland, Norway and Germany).[3]

Discovered in 1960, Galium sterneri is a fairly low growing bedstraw with small pale yellow flowers which tends to form mats rather than clumps or tufts.[4][5] Galium sterneri is used as an ornamental plant in gardens and is also used as a medicinal herb to treat a variety of ailments, including skin and digestive problems.[6]
