Template talk:Clan Campbell

[edit]

This template looks like it should be a Template:Navbox type, to go at the bottom of pages, like Template:Scottish clans. Adding another infobox to pages on clans and castles, which generally already have infoboxes, is not the most helpful. Navboxes can have an image too, such as File:Clan member crest badge - Clan Campbell.svg. Regards, Jonathan Oldenbuck (talk) 10:18, 18 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

interesting point. see the talk at Template talk:Infobox Clan. Things are very much in development stage. I posted the navbox as a test. Comments welcome. Yours ever, Czar Brodie (talk) 10:50, 18 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
see example at User:Czar Brodie/sandbox for a general idea of the use of the navbox (with other boxes). Yours ever, Czar Brodie (talk) 13:04, 18 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah I can see where you're going, but I think that in your example page, the "profile" should be at the top, being the most pertinent information, while this template is filling more of a "see also" role, listing connected articles, and should thereby go further down. This is particularly true for castles, where Clan Campbell may only be relatively incidental to the main subject. Regards, Jonathan Oldenbuck (talk) 13:38, 18 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
noted and updated according. Thanks for your sugestions. Yours ever, Czar Brodie (talk) 00:02, 19 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
