Template talk:Islamic studies sidebar

[edit]

I've removed the links to Islamic architecture subtopics (Ottoman architecture, Chinese Islamic architecture, etc) for a few reasons. My understanding is that this template links to various disciplines relating to the Islamic world, not to all the subtopics in each discipline. The sister template at Template:Islamic studies simply includes the overview article, Islamic architecture, under the "Art" section, which is appropriate. Sidebars should be kept especially compact (per WP:SIDEBAR) and this also saves space. The current incomplete selection has no clear logic either, and the actual range of subtopics on architecture is far too large to include here. R Prazeres (talk) 04:04, 6 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
