Template talk:MIPS microprocessors

Rework[edit]

IMO it would be useful to make this more similar to Template:ARM-based chips. So far MIPS CPUs have been less common in Mobile Phones and such, but almost dominate the market for SoCs used in Customer-premises equipment routers, DVD players, etc. AFAIK it is also very common in the automobile sector.

I would start with the Instruction set version, then the Microarchitecture and a list of the SoCs incorporating this. There could be a 4th column for an aggregation: "application" = mobile phones/tablets/etc, networking, microcontrollers, classic Semsi Paco Virchow (talk) 11:19, 1 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
