[edit]Hello, I'm Woodroar. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Shane Carruth, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Woodroar (talk) 00:30, 20 January 2022 (UTC)
Discretionary sanctions notification
[edit]This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Hamish Hawk moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Hamish Hawk, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. scope_creepTalk 02:06, 31 January 2022 (UTC)
Concern regarding Draft:Hamish Hawk
[edit]Hello, IXCat. This is a bot-delivered message letting you know that Draft:Hamish Hawk, a page you created, has not been edited in at least 5 months. Drafts that have not been edited for six months may be deleted, so if you wish to retain the page, please edit it again or request that it be moved to your userspace.
If the page has already been deleted, you can request it be undeleted so you can continue working on it.
Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. FireflyBot (talk) 02:09, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
Your draft article, Draft:Hamish Hawk
[edit]Hello, IXCat. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Hamish Hawk".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. If you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 05:45, 31 July 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. Some of your recent genre changes, such as the one you made to The Nearer the Fountain, More Pure the Stream Flows, have conflicted with our neutral point of view and/or verifiability policies. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. When others disagree, we recommend you seek consensus for certain edits by discussing the matter on the article's talk page. Thank you. Οἶδα (talk) 02:30, 3 September 2022 (UTC)

Hello. Regarding your edit to Smithereens (album) here, please see WP:EXPLICITGENRE. Clash is describing Joji as alternative pop, not the album, which they need to explicitly do for us to accept it as a genre per the linked page. Thanks. Ss112 06:11, 11 November 2022 (UTC)

I've reviewed this article, it looks good, only thing to watch is ensuring all quotes are properly cited. I have fixed this where I found uncited quotes.

Fantastic work on the Kendall article, started a Logan article as well
[edit]Hello,
Absolutely love the Kendall Roy article you almost entirely wrote. If you are interested, I started work on Draft:Logan Roy as well, though I do not intend to publish it until it is similar in quality. I've also been looking for sources that go into Cox's portrayal in detail- there's a ton of sources that establish his notability as a character but not as much that directly tackle an analysis of Cox's performance and his characterization.
HadesTTW (he/him • talk) 01:59, 17 September 2023 (UTC)
- Hi,
- Thank you so much for your kind words! I'll try to help you with Logan's article, some of the sources for Kendall's page were difficult to find at first, but I'm sure we'll find something. IXCat (talk) 11:02, 17 September 2023 (UTC)

- Hii! Of course, I might not be able to do it right away, but would be happy to help. And thank you for your kind words :) IXCat (talk) 21:16, 24 November 2023 (UTC)
- I think I didn't do that bad of a job but I am frankly inexperienced, would it be possible for you to maybe go over the article? also plan to update it with some stuff that has happened after the release oliveira dos cen anos
- No worries! Reme77 (talk) 23:56, 24 November 2023 (UTC)
- You did a great job! There were some grammatical and phrasing mistakes, that I fixed. I mostly checked the first section, and will check the rest when I have a bit more time. IXCat (talk) 14:14, 26 November 2023 (UTC)

Per the discussion at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Albums/Archive_46#Piero_Scaruffi_-_Final_Verdict_on_using_him_as_a_source_in_reviews there's a very clear consensus here that Scaruffi is not to be used as a source in music/album articles in any capacity. So please, do not add his opinions anymore. It is a wp:self published source. Since this is a long running dispute, any contributor warned by the situation and who doesn't respect it, would encounter sanctions and could be blocked from editing. Thanks. You've been informed because you used this source here. Woovee (talk) 22:31, 6 July 2024 (UTC)
