Selective removal of Jewish history[edit]

Hello, Makeandtoss. I have been following the editing activity in ARBPIA with great interest, particularly the changes being made to articles related to the region's history. I have noticed a recent edit of yours that is concerning. You removed all references to Israelite and Jewish history from the lead, while retaining other historical events. You justified this by saying that these events, specifically, are not significant enough to the territory's history, but this selective removal suggests a bias.

Previously, in January, you made a similar edit, removing Israelite history, claiming it "does not summarize the body." I wondered then why you didn't add the content to the body. Now, with the relevant information already detailed there, your repeated removal of Jewish references with differing explanations raises deep concerns about your actual motivations.

The Jewish presence in the Golan Heights is historically significant and well-documented. Ignoring this aspect undermines a comprehensive understanding of the region's history. Wikipedia should maintain a neutral point of view, and your edits compromise this neutrality by selectively diminishing Jewish history. I see you have recently been warned for battleground behavior in ARBPIA, so please make an effort to adhere to Wikipedia's guidelines. 916crdshn (talk) 10:17, 21 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@916crdshn: If your edits gets challenges, the way forward is to take the discussion to the article’s talk page per WP:BRD, not take ad hominem to the talk page of the user that challenged these edits. Open a discussion there and demonstrate how these are significant events in the history of the Golan Heights that relate to the territory specifically by citing RS and I would gladly engage and everyone else can weigh in. @Makeandtoss, It seems there has been a misunderstanding. I have never edited this article, but noticed your repeated edits selectively removing content, which raised concerns about bias. Given your previous warnings for battleground behavior, I'm surprised you see this request as "ad hominem." Please adhere to Wikipedia's guidelines. Thanks. 916crdshn (talk) 12:28, 23 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@916crdshn: "selectively removing content"
Please abide by Wikipedia's guidelines and familiarize yourself with WP:GOODFAITH. Casting aspersions like this is a sign of battleground behavior. Please do not make further comments on my user talk page and seek the article's talk page where there is currently an ongoing discussion on the content.
