Hi. Welcome to Wikipedia and thanks for pointing out the listing error. I've adjusted the positioning of the cites to make it clear what is actually citing what. I personally don't particularly like that style of citation (cite-per-sentence rather than cite-per-paragraph) because I think it looks ugly, but better that than causing confusion. I hope that answers your issues. -- chris_j_wood (talk) 09:34, 4 April 2014 (UTC)
- Incidentally, I don't think your theory on upgrade to II* after refurbishment can be quite right, as the English Heritage listing that you cite containing the II* also says that Foxhill House is 'now Student Hall of Residence'. It hasn't been that for a good 10 years, and the refurbishment was after it ceased to be student accommodation. So unless EH have been very sloppy, it was II* before the refurbishment. My guess would be that the University Press Officer who wrote the Bulletin articles didn't understand the significance of that *. -- chris_j_wood (talk) 09:41, 4 April 2014 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for September 5
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Earley, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Reading. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

[edit]Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Earley may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Southampton, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Henry VI. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Speedy deletion nomination of People born in Eastleigh
[edit]Hello, Ntmr,
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username TheWikiholic, and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged People born in Eastleigh for deletion, because it doesn't appear to contain any encyclopedic content. You may find our guide for writing quality articles to be extremely informative. Also, you may want to consider working on future articles in draft space first, where they cannot be deleted for lacking content.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.
For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|TheWikiholic}}
. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

@TheWikiholic: please delete as soon as possible. I had just added Heather Hallett’s birthplace to her Wikipedia page and I was trying to set up a “ categories: list of people born in Eastleigh” which does not appear to exist yet.Ntmr (talk) 14:26, 13 June 2021 (UTC)

Notable former pupils: added Rt Revd Andrew John Ysgol Penglais School
[edit]Hello Ntmr, you added Andrew John to the notable former pupils list of Ysgol Penglais School. You provided a citation that did not confirm that he had attended the school. His biography article says that he did but it is not sourced. I've left your edit in place and added a citation needed tag. Gab4gab (talk) 13:37, 29 July 2021 (UTC)

Osborne retirement
[edit]Hi. Just a quick courtesy note to say I've reverted a few of your mentions that the Bishop of Llandaff has retired. Yes, she had her final service, but her resignation of the See isn't in effect 'til New Year: "Vacancy in the See of Llandaff". Church Times. No. 8334. 9 December 2022. p. 25. ISSN 0009-658X. [edit]Hello. Your recent edit to Pontypridd appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 18:10, 27 September 2023 (UTC)
