[edit]

They're really trying to promote their company I think that they're should either be blocked and speeded away completely please just do it quickly because I think it's urgent cause it's promotional content Gladcape2013 (talk) 02:23, 10 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Gladcape2013, I assume you're talking about Larrytabus? If so, as you've mentioned, I've already requested for these pages to be speedily deleted under CSD G11. Hermann Heuvers contributions removed

[edit]

I beg you kindly to explain your removal concerning my contributions to Hermann Heuvers, especially the removal of his work's title "Vierzig Jahre in Japan 1923-1963" I cannot agree, as explained in my two repliques to your e-mail from saturday May 24, 2025. Ucm-ge (talk) 08:14, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

When on May 21, 2025 for the first time I met the title of Hermann Heuvers' "Vierzig Jahre in Japan 1923-1963" on Wikipedia, there was no problem. Pbritti wrote "Welcome". So where is the problem? Ucm-ge (talk) 14:17, 25 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Ucm-ge: Sorry for the delayed reply. I reverted this edit on Hermann Heuvers due to a likely copyright violation. This is because 942 characters of the edit had been flagged as a direct copy and paste from Amazon.de, which included the list of chapters in Forty Years in Japan 1923-1963 from the Amazon.de listing. I did not mean to revert the title of the book, so I have now added Forty Years in Japan 1923-1963 to the bibliography section of Hermann Heuvers. Also, if you use {{User|Example}} then this generates a "ping" which notifies the user of your message. Thanks, Referentis (talk) 03:55, 26 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Cane Bay High School

[edit]

Hey there! I would like to know what specific content constituted a violation of the NPOV rule. I'd love to work through it and fix that page so it can be as best as possible! Rikkitonton (talk) 01:39, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Rikkitonton, the edits to Cane Bay High School introduced content with a non-neutral and promotional tone, and used primary sources. Although the article has already been created, I'd recommend reading Your first article for guidance, and see also Writing better articles. There's no rush for editing, so I'd recommend making small, slow edits while you build your experience. I'd also caution against using large language models. The Wikipedia Adventure is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia, and if you have any questions the Teahouse is a friendly space for help. Pepper II

[edit]

Hey! Just to ask, are the new sources in Pepper II reliabie?--PawPatroler (talk) 23:02, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

PawPatroler, this edit to Pepper II added a citation from Killer List of Videogames which is listed on WP:VG/RS as a reliable platform-specific source. See also WP:VG/RL, which is a directory for sources to use when editing articles about video games, and if you have any questions, see WT:VG. Thanks, Referentis (talk) 13:48, 29 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

COI was clearly made in their ES, so I changed it to a {{uw-coi}} Cheers Adakiko (talk) 01:38, 3 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Adakiko, I've also now added {{COI editnotice}} and {{Connected contributor (paid)}} to the talk page. Thanks, Referentis (talk) 01:53, 3 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, I see you've noticed that I restored content on Kesley Wang. I left the IP a uw-delete2. Is it Kesley or her management team? The world wonders... CheersAdakiko (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 01:56, 3 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed Adakiko, I've also just checked the COI notice that Twinkle added, and it looks like Twinkle added the latest version of {{Uw-coi}} as it included the text Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you, and added the talk page to Category:User talk pages with conflict of interest notices. Thanks, Referentis (talk) 02:26, 3 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
For some reason, I thought you had added {{welcome-coi}} - oopsie. I restored your version. {{uw-coi}} is what I used. I thought you meant that what I added had the above text. I was trying to figure out who did the twinkle version as nether version mentioned twinkle. Yours has "Template:uw-coi". Does Twinkle use a different template or edit the text? Cheers Adakiko (talk) 03:34, 3 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
No worries, and thank you Adakiko. I think my edit included the Twinkle tag, and it looks like Twinkle adds the subject Managing a conflict of interest as {{subst:Uw-coi}} doesn't automatically create a subject. It looks like we had the same idea though, and thank you for adding {{Uw-delete2}} with a link to WP:EDITREQUEST. Thanks, Referentis (talk) 03:55, 3 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Apology

[edit]

Hey, I just wanted to say that I am sorry about the drama regarding Kelsey Wang - everything I wrote in the article was fully sourced from interviews and reliable websites and (in my opinion anyway) not controversial. When the actress messaged me I tried to get it sorted without causing another conflict of interest, hence why I opened up the BLP noticeboard discussion. I wanted to ensure that neither WP or the actress were negatively affected.I wanted to say that I am so sorry if I annoyed you in any way or caused any issues. I am probably overpanicking but I have autism and have been having a stress overload due to believing that many editors are angry at me now.

All the best, Danilo DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 03:58, 3 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi DaniloDaysOfOurLives, there is absolutely no need to apologise (and there's no drama whatsoever). I really appreciate your initiative in helping to resolve the COI, and I think that opening up the discussion at WP:BLPN#Kelsey_Wang was a sensible decision to make. I hope you're okay, as I imagine that being messaged privately by the article subject on Instagram could be a stressful and unexpected experience. Thanks, Referentis (talk) 04:15, 3 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, thank you so so so so much! I really appreciate you being so kind and reassuring me, and thank you so much - I was trying to resolve this well and quickly. Thank you for all of your help and kindness! DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 05:16, 3 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of information

[edit]

Hi, why did you remove facts from Perpetual Student page, please? We in Czech republic have provable recordman in number of university titles Mr. Leo Salvet (Leo Salvet je rekordman v počtu vysokoškolských titulů. Největší zábava prý bylo studium ekonomie | Střední Čechy) as well as another people (for example me, I can send you my diplomas). I was not able to add references into the page but this couldn't be a reason to remove true data. Best regards Ivana 109.81.162.26 (talk) 20:07, 8 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

This edit and this edit to Perpetual student added non-notable people to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. See Help:Your first article for further details, although I'd caution against writing articles about yourself. Please also note that content on Wikipedia must be verifiable with a reliable source, or it may be removed. Thank you, Referentis (talk) 20:44, 8 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Contentious references and deletion of proven references from S-400 page

[edit]

Hi, This is to bring to your kind attention that an user named Jamali287 has been deleting parts of edited referenced segments in the S-400 page without proper references of his own, despite previous warnings and a 31 hour ban. You have warned him previously too. I have tried reasoning with him but failed. Please take requisite actions. AbhijnanGhosh87 (talk) 19:47, 11 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

AbhijnanGhosh87, it appears that you are in a content dispute with this editor. I'd recommend discussing content disputes on the article's talk page to try to reach a consensus. If you are unable to agree, you may wish to read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Thanks, Referentis (talk) 21:32, 11 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hawkeye Marching Band

[edit]

Hello! I was wondering what was the reasoning with removing the updated information to the “Annual Trombone-Trumpet Football Game” under the Traditions category? I stated that I am a member of the Hawkeye Marching Band (specifically in the Trumpet section), and wanted to update the information.

Must I verify my credentials? (or is that doing too much, being only a Wikipedia page to a marching band LOL)

Thanks!

- Thomathyy (talk) 22:46, 17 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thomathyy, this edit to Hawkeye Marching Band introduced content without a reliable source, see my edit summary here. I also left a message on your talk page here with further information. Please note that content on Wikipedia must be verifiable with a reliable source, or it may be removed. I'd also recommend reading Wikipedia's conflict of interest guideline, and I've left a message on your talk page here with further details. Thanks, Referentis (talk) 23:00, 17 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
