[edit] Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Bamba (snack), but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Materialscientist (talk) 06:20, 20 June 2025 (UTC)
Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. However, please do not use unreliable sources such as blogs, wikis, personal websites, and websites and publications with a poor reputation for checking the facts or with no editorial oversight. These sources may express views that are widely acknowledged as pushing a particular point-of-view, sometimes even extremist, being promotional in nature, or relying heavily on rumors and personal opinions. One of Wikipedia's core policies is that contributions must be verifiable through reliable sources, preferably using inline citations. If you require further assistance, please look at Help:Menu/Editing Wikipedia, or ask at the Teahouse. [1] MrOllie (talk) 12:33, 21 June 2025 (UTC)

Hello Sandia2020. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Sandia2020. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Sandia2020|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. MrOllie (talk) 15:11, 23 June 2025 (UTC)
- Dear MrOllie,
- Thank you for your message, I want to CLEARLY declare that I am not being directly or indirectly compensated for my edits – I discovered the editing world of Wikipedia only 5 days ago and I am excited about it :-)
- You can see that I am editing many very very versatile articles, and in no way I am getting compensated. Sandia2020 (talk) 15:30, 23 June 2025 (UTC)
- The biographies you've been creating are very promotionally worded - and they rely on scant sourcing. I suggest you create these as drafts and make use of the WP:AFC process instead, others will work with you there to ensure that neutrality requirements and sourcing requirements are met. By creating articles like these directly in the main article space you run a high risk of having them deleted as promotional content. MrOllie (talk) 15:35, 23 June 2025 (UTC)

George W. Schaeffer moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to George W. Schaeffer. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and it is promotional and reads like an advertisement. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Bakhtar40 (talk) 12:30, 23 June 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you Bakhtar40,
- I will add more sources and improve the article :-) Sandia2020 (talk) 12:40, 23 June 2025 (UTC)

[edit]
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

- You didn't even give me the chance to complete it.

- The problem is that you're using promotional language which violates WP:PROMOTION. Notability is not an issue, but the tone you're using for writing articles. Please ask the deleting admin, Deb, if you wish to recover the deleted draft for further improvements. CycloneYoris talk! 08:42, 25 June 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you @CycloneYoris
- Dear @Deb, I understood from @CycloneYoris that I am wiring in promotional language and that I should change the Tone I am using, I have many more sources to show these are valid articles, Please recover this article and I will change the tone to be much more encyclopedia oriented :-)
- Thank you in advance.

- Dear @CycloneYoris,
- I think I mad it again (using a promotional language), please reconsider the deletion and I will rewrite it in a more encyclopedia orientation.
- Thank you again for your patience and guidance,
- Sandia2020 Sandia2020 (talk) 08:49, 25 June 2025 (UTC)
- Having googled on the wording, I can tell that you copied it from somewhere - almost certainly from the company's own promotional literature. Why did you do that if you have no connection with them and weren't trying to advertise? Deb (talk) 11:46, 25 June 2025 (UTC)
- Dear Deb,
- I indeed got help writing this article from their website but in no way trying to promote them, (I can definitely rewrite it in my words if you give me the chance).
- I participated in one of the programs and realized how substantial and profound are their programs are.
- Also being aware that Reid Hoffman (has a comprehensive article in Wiki - Reid Hoffman) and his co-founders Prof. Fred Kofman, Senior Leadership Coach at Google, former MIT Professor founded this amazing Foundation.
- As they develop the leaders of tomorrow I think it deserve an article.
- Also, they DO NOT charge anything for their programs- it is all 100% philanthropy, so no one is being promoted for money here.
- I hope you can reinstate the article as draft and let me rewrite it.
- Thank you in advance @Deb

- Wikipedia is interested in what independent, reliable sources have to say about a subject, not what a subject has to say about itself - which is usually self promotion. As long as you keep beginning from improper sources like this you're going to keep running into the same problems on Wikipedia. MrOllie (talk) 13:37, 25 June 2025 (UTC)
- Dear @MrOllie,
- As you realize the "Hoffman Kofman foundation" notability is obvious and deserve an article.
- With @Deb permission I will gather and add more independent sources so it will be obvious this is not self promotion.
- Thank you again Sandia2020 (talk) 13:42, 25 June 2025 (UTC)
- There is nothing to prevent you from trying to create a new article. Old versions containing promotional wording will not be restored. However, you must understand that any new version you may draft will also be checked, and will be deleted if it does not meet our standards and adhere to the neutral point of view policy. Deb (talk) 15:03, 25 June 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @MrOllie,
- Why did you delete the article about Sde Nahum ?
- I added good resources and this is not a promotional article, it is a REAL kibbutz in Israel.
- Please explain Sandia2020 (talk) 16:03, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
- You definitely did add blatantly promotional language again. Did you copy any of that text from elsewhere? MrOllie (talk) 16:07, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
- Please guide me.... which are the "blatantly" promotional words I used ? Sandia2020 (talk) 16:17, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
