English: This Odachi is called the Odachi Masayoshi. It is one of the longest Japanese swords (nihonto) that is preserved. It is on display at Yahiko Shrine in Niigata Prefecture, Japan. It was forged by bladesmith Sanke Masayoshi, dated 1844 (14th year of Tenpou). The measurements are Blade = 7 shaku (212.1 cm) and 4 sun (13.33) = 225.43 cm. Nakago (tang) = 3 shaku (90.9 cm) and 5 bu (1.515 cm) = 92.41 cm.
