パロヴ・ステラー[1]（Parov Stelar、1974年11月27日 - ）は、オーストリア出身のミュージシャン、作曲家、音楽プロデューサー 、DJ。本名は、Marcus Füreder。ジャズやハウスミュージックを土台に、エレクトロ、ポップ・ミュージックなどを融合させたエレクトロ・スウィングのパイオニアとして知られる[2]。
経歴[編集]
1990年代後半には、本名のMarcus FürederとしてナイトクラブのDJとして活動していた。2000年よりプロデュースやCDリリースを行う。この最初のマキシシングルとして『Bushido』(武士道）を発表した（当時は本名と「プラズマ」というステージ名を併用していた）。2003年にはレコードレーベル「Etage Noir Recordings」を設立した[3]。1年後に現在のステージ名であるパロヴ・ステラーに改名し、オーストリアの影響力のあるラジオ局であるFM4にて、「Kiss Kiss」がヒットしたことがきっかけに世界的な電子音楽シーンへと広まった[4]。
パロヴ・ステラーは、最初にヨーロッパでエレクトロ・スウィングの音楽を制作した人物である[5]。2007年にアルバム『Shine』を発表した時に、ヨーロッパで最も有望なプロデューサーの一人として知名度が高まった[6]。音楽制作に対する彼の具体的なアプローチは、実証された美学的感覚と相まって、世界中の観客や仲間からの反響をもたらし、エレクトロ・スウィングという新しいジャンルの創始者として評判を得た[7]。
その後のアルバムに、『Seven and Storm』（2005年）、『Shine』（2007年）、『Coco』（2009年）、『The Princess』（2012年）、『The Invisible Girl』（Parov Stelar Trio、2013年）、『The Art of Sampling』 （2013年）、1位を獲得した『The Demon Diaries』 (2015年)、『Live @ Pukkelpop』（2016年）、『The Burning Spider』（2017年）などがあり、また20枚以上のEPをリリースし、今日まで人気を集めており、大きなファン・コミュニティも組織された[8]。
2004年2月、彼はプレイステーション・シアターで最初のショーを行った。2005年11月、パロヴ・ステラーはライブ・バンドと一緒に初登場したのを皮切りに、世界各地で700以上のライブ・ショーを開催し、大きな成功を収めた。ニューヨークのプレイステーション・シアターやロンドンのアレクサンドラ・パレス、パリのゼニス、ベルリンのコロンビアハレでソールドアウトした。また、コーチェラ（アメリカ）、グラストンベリー（イギリス）、スィゲト（ハンガリー）、ハリケーン / サウスサイド（ドイツ）、ロラパルーザ（アメリカ）、ロック・ウェルフテル、プッケルポップ（ベルギー）、ピンクポップ（オランダ）、ヴィエイユ・シャリュ、ソリデイズ（フランス）など多くの主要フェスティバルにおいて演奏した。NOS Alive!（ポルトガル）、チューリッヒ・オープン・エア、ガンペル・オープン・エア、グルテン・フェスティバル（スイス）、アントールド（ルーマニア）、フリクエンシー（オーストリア）やパリのリュマニテにおいてLa Feteと共演した[9]。
パロヴ・ステラーは、2012年、2013年、2015年および2016年のElectronic / Dance、2013年のThe Princess、2013年および2014年のBest Live Actの7つのアマデウス・オーストリア音楽賞を受賞し、ラナ・デル・レイ、ブライアン・フェリー、マーヴィン・ゲイ、レディー・ガガとも競演した[10][11]。リリースした10枚のアルバムと20枚以上のEPは、50万枚以上を売り上げた。"Booty Swing"は、アメリカおよびカナダのiTunesチャートエレクトロ部門のチャート入りした[12]。また、「All Night」は2017年5月のイタリアで10万枚以上を売り上げ、Double Platinum Statusを達成した。2018年5月、Graham Candyがフィーチャーされた「The Sun」は、アメリカのiTunesチャートエレクトロ部門の1位に達した[13]。
パロヴ・ステラーの楽曲は、世界中でコンピレーションや、テレビ番組、テレビ・シリーズ、映画、広告スポットなどでも使用されている[14]。
パロヴ・ステラー・トリオ[編集]
パロヴ・ステラー・トリオのキャストは、パロヴ・ステラー（プログラミング）のほかは、クレオ・パンサー（ボーカル）、マーク・オスター（トランペット）、セバスチャン・グリムス（サクソフォーン）、ジャコブ・マイヤー（トロンボーン）、マイケル・ウィットナー（ベース、ギター）、ウィリー・ラーソン・ジュニア（ドラム）。
彼はバーバラ・リヒテナウアー（Barbara Lichtenauer、ステージ名：リリャ・ブルーム、Lilja Bloom）と結婚している。2人は「Step Two」や「Coco」を含む多くの曲を一緒に作った。

- 2016年の「Clap Your Hands」は、iOSおよびAndroidゲーム『Shuffle Cats』のテレビCMに利用された。
- 2014年の「Catgroove」はベルギーテレコムオペレーターのプロキシマスというテレビCMに利用された[15] 。
- 「All Night」は、Paco Rabanne Eau My Goldの香水のテレビCMに利用された。
- 「All Night」と「Millas Dream」は、トルコの動画サイトであるIncir Reçeli2のサウンドトラックとして用いられた。
- 「Chambermaid Swing」は、2012年にバカルディの「The Party 1957」のコマーシャルに登場した。これは、初めてアメリカのポップシーンへの主要な露出であった。
- クリンガンデ（Klingande）が作成した「The Sun」のリミックスは、ビデオゲーム『Forza Horizon 3』のサウンドトラックとして用いられた。
- アルバム『The Princess』に収録されている「All Night」は、2017年にTIM（Telecom Italia Mobile）のCMに選ばれた[16]。
- 「All Night」は、2017年5月にイタリアで販売された10万以上のトラックの中からDouble Platinum Statusに選ばれた[17]。
- 「The Princess」は、2017年のレクサスのグローバル・ブランド・キャンペーン「Shift」に利用された[18]。
