Career

[edit]

Lincoln City

[edit]

Chapman came through the Lincoln City youth-team, before being purchased by Leicester City's Academy for an undisclosed fee in 2016.[3] He returned to Lincoln City the following year and made the first-team bench in September 2017, at the age of 16, after impressing "Imps" manager Danny Cowley.[4] He made his senior debut on 24 October, coming on as a 70th-minute substitute for Michael Bostwick in a 2–1 victory over Everton U23 in an EFL Trophy group stage match at Sincil Bank.[5]

Cheltenham Town

[edit]

On 15 October 2020, it was announced that Chapman had joined Cheltenham Town,[6] with Lincoln City retaining a future financial interest in the player.[7]

On 17 November 2022, Chapman signed for National League club Oldham Athletic on a one-month loan deal.[8]

Sligo Rovers

[edit]

On 22 December 2023, it was announced that upon the opening of the transfer window, Chapman would be loaned to League of Ireland Premier Division side Sligo Rovers until June.[9] On 15 February 2024, he made the move permanent before he had made his competitive debut for the club.[10]

Style of play

[edit]

Chapman is a midfielder with excellent passing skills and good tactical intelligence.[4]
