Template talk:Postcode areas in the United Kingdom

[edit]

I've just made two updates:

  1. (a) Inserted links for the Crown dependencies (GY, IM, JE) in the list1 content (alphabetically placed). (b) Added links to the below parameter for related lists of postal counties, post towns, postcode districts and the London postal district. This causes some duplication with the links in the {{UK postal system}} navbox but that template is not used on many pages where this template appears and where those links would be useful. Also, the extra text does not take up a great deal of extra space so hopefully the overlap is, on balance, justified.
  2. Removed the bullets from list1 to save space. This change is purely aesthetic. Ordinarily, consecutive links separated only by a space would be ambiguous as to whether they are one link or many. But it should be immediately clear to the reader that this is a list of one- and two-character codes. I think the bullets in fact distract from the text, making it harder to read, as well as making it take up more space. But I've made this a separate edit in case others disagree with this subjective judgement and want to revert it without necessarily affecting the other changes.
