Request reason:

It's pretty obvious that I did something stupid on his talk page. But I am a relatively new editor, and have made many contributions to wikipedia. I genuinely enjoy improving wikipedia, and writing wikipedia articles of my own. I just made one mistake once, and so could this please be looked over?

Decline reason:

There is quite a bit of problematic behavior detailed at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Edward Jocob Philip Smith which will need to be addressed, including attempts to hijack accounts of other editors. Sam Kuru (talk) 14:37, 8 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

This happened 3 weeks ago now. This will probably be the last time I make a request. I did something foolish, which was a one-off. All the things I did were within a period of one week, in which I had quite a lot of stress in my personal life with exams and didn't think very carefully about my actions; and if you look past that one week, my contributions have been normal and productive. All I ask is for a second chance, so that I can continue editing wikipedia as I love to do.

Decline reason:

The CU data shows you are using proxies. It's time to stop. You also need to go into a more detailed explanation and apology for the behaviour described at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Edward Jocob Philip Smith/Archive. Frankly, the behaviour there is categorically incompatible with being a Wikipedia editor. Mitigating that is that this does indeed appear to have been a problem limited to one week, which counts in your favour. It's just that it's not enough for me to consider lifting the block. While you are allowed to blank nearly everything from the page, you're explicitly not allowed to remove declined unblock requests for a block that is currently in effect, as can be seen at WP:KEEPDECLINEDUNBLOCK. Assuming good faith that you did not see the warning to not remove these from about a day ago, I have restored them for you. It's in your best interest to not remove them; misuse of a talk page will very frequently result in your talk page access being completely revoked, which makes filing an appeal more difficult.
