Deleted page

[edit]

Could you please undelete the page? It is a notable person with multiple citations and sources in the article. Aaron Craven (talk) 23:51, 17 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Aaron Craven: Which page are you referring to? plicit 11:41, 18 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
There was an article attached to the talk page which I had just finished. It disappeared when you deleted the talk page..? Aaron Craven (talk) 16:38, 18 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Aaron Craven: If you're referring to Aaron Craven, this page has never existed. There's an entry on Wikidata, but that's it. plicit 00:10, 19 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I had spent an entire day doing a draft. Then I added a comment on talk. A few minutes later, the draft I had been looking at was gone and I noticed the talk page had been deleted. I'm not sure now where to find my original edit, as it's not showing up anywhere in sandbox or elsewhere. Aaron Craven (talk) 00:14, 19 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Aaron Craven: I viewed your deleted contributions and there is no article or draft to be found, only Talk:Aaron Craven. It may be that you did not publish your edit. plicit 00:18, 19 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, thanks for the deletion there ... a deletion request by the author was *not* what I expected at all! Would you mind letting me know exactly what happened there? Was it just a regular db-g7 template (or equivalent), or was their any text in either the deletion template or edit summary (and if so, could you let me know what it was either by replying here or by email ... or was it just blanked? Thanks. Graham87 (talk) 14:59, 19 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

(talk page stalker) This is actually about Xentra ERP Software GmbH. They added {{db-author}} with no reason and edit summary. * Pppery * it has begun... 18:14, 19 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! We got Prometheus Society which is a redirect to Prometheus Society (student society). Can you delete the redirect and move Prometheus Society (student society) to Prometheus Society? If there are no alternative articles with that same name there is nothing to disambiguate. Thanks, Polygnotus (talk) 14:13, 21 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Polygnotus: Hi, I have moved the page as requested. plicit 14:32, 21 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Inquiry

[edit]

Hello you recently deleted the template Template:Regeneration stories amd i personally disagree with the delation. I think the rational I favor of deleting it was quite weak, I think I could have made a case in favor of keeping it, however I couldn't as I was away while the TFD was ongoing. I considered a deketion review but infeel that sinxe the tfd was all above code and my onky concern wis that the outcome should have been different (list item one as not not open a review) I am unsure about the proper way to process in this instance Olliefant (she/her) 02:48, 25 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@OlifanofmrTennant: Hi, well, I can't unilaterally overturn the result of a deletion discussion. Do you have an argument in favor of keeping the template which might make Pokelego999 and LaundryPizza03 reconsider their views? plicit 04:13, 25 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Yes I do. First I wasnt looking to unilaterally overturn the decision I was looking for a venue for further discussion. While Pokelego999's first point is true, the second isn't "No navigational use, especially since it contains basically every single time the concept ever appears on-screen, no matter how minor." Is true of most Doctor Who nav boxes. laundry pizzas comment that the concept is "Better served by season navboxes.* is wrong since Doctor Who series navboxes have one box a season and most regeneration episodes (all but two) happen in different seasons Olliefant (she/her) 11:31, 25 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Regardless of my opinion, you'll have to appeal to DRV for further input. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 23:37, 25 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Accidental deletion?

[edit]

I think perhaps User talk:Mahiwagangdilaw was deleted in error as the talk page of a redirect. It was actually a user talk page with comments and warnings. As the user talk page has now been recreated, I suppose a histmerge is needed to restore the old page? -- Ponyobons mots 20:33, 25 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Ponyo: I have restored the page history. It was automatically deleted by XFDcloser, but I have no idea why. The user talk page was never a redirect to the article. Thanks for the heads up. plicit 23:53, 25 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I assumed as much; thanks for looking in to it so quickly!-- Ponyobons mots 16:21, 26 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Immich

[edit]

Why was the Immich article removed? 80.217.17.18 (talk) 20:44, 25 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The article Immich was moved into draftspace shortly after its creation for lacking sources. After six months with no edits, Draft:Immich was deleted in accordance with the speedy deletion criterion for abandoned drafts. plicit 23:53, 25 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

File:Singh HighResSquare.jpg

[edit]

Hi Explicit. Would you mind taking a quick peek at File:Singh HighResSquare.jpg? I think the uploader might've been somehow trying to connect it to File:Ankur Singh, Professor, Georgia Tech.jpg since the local file was previously deleted by you on June 4 per F4. No idea whether the Commons file should be VRT verified since it's lacking EXIF data or any type of way to verify its licensing. The file's description, though, states it was taken just a few days prior to uploading, and it easily could be the uploader's own work. -- Marchjuly (talk) 22:36, 25 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Marchjuly: Hi, the local file was a local copy of c:File:Singh HighResSquare.jpg on Commons, which was deleted as a copyright violation of the second image here late last year. Not sure why it was uploaded recreated here six months later. File:Ankur Singh, Professor, Georgia Tech.jpg is a different image. plicit 23:53, 25 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for taking a look at this. -- Marchjuly (talk) 03:43, 26 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
