Japanese political parties

[edit]

I'm in the process of updating the result tables on political pages, so please don't revert my edits :) ValenciaThunderbolt (talk) 21:29, 29 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It is unfair to remove "social liberalism" from the infobox of the Democratic Party of Japan article. The DPJ is a center-left party that supports cultural liberalism and Keynesianism. Mureungdowon (talk) 07:41, 30 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Anti-Japanese sentiment in Korea, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Diversity. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Socialism in South Korea

[edit]

I noticed that you re-added and expanded info to the "Socialism in South Korea" page. Have you thought about create a sidebar for it? ValenciaThunderbolt (talk) 20:12, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I do not yet support the creation of the sidebar. There is no individual sidebar in Korean Wikipedia and Namuwiki, and above all, the socialist movement in South Korea is still non-mainstream, unlike the United States, and should be viewed as part of the progressive camp so far. Your recent editing history at Anti-Chinese sentiment in Korea shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Stop trying to crowbar anti-Korean sentiment into Antisemitism

[edit]

Stop trying to crowbar anti-Korean sentiment into Antisemitism, where it does not belong, or you will be blocked. Bishonen | tålk 11:44, 26 February 2023 (UTC).[reply]

Of course anti-Korean sentiment and anti-semitism are different. However, it is clear that Jews and Koreans are the main victims of World War II. The difference is that unlike Germany, Japan does not reflect at all. If you change the anti-Korean investigation frequently conducted by Japanese conservatives from Korean to Jewish, it is almost treated as a neo-Nazi in Germany. Mureungdowon (talk) 11:48, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I checked your user page 20 seconds ago. You must be a Japanese anime/manga mania. I don't know if you're brainwashed by Japanese Propaganda, but Japan's anti-Korean sentiment is clearly far-right by European standards. Mureungdowon (talk) 11:51, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I think you better avoid making assumptions about other editor's intentions, when you are strongly emotionally involved in a topic. Bishonen is a fine admin. See also WP:RGW. Regarding the number of victims of WWII: statistically, the Soviet Union and Cina had the largest number of casualties. Emotionally, probably everyone who endured that war is a victim; I regularly speak very old people (90+) who still recall the horrors. Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 12:44, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I think it is unfair that Bishonen mentioned "blocked". I have clearly provided a source, and I have not violated WP:3RR. Mureungdowon (talk) 12:59, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps not, but you are indeed WP:EDITWARring to get your favored material into the article. Use the article talk page to gain WP:CONSENSUS now. And stop with the personal attacks. "Brainwashed"? An inappropriate suggestion under any circumstances. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 17:12, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your userpage

[edit]

You have a lot of inflammatory content on your userpage. You call Chinese and Japanese culture uncivilized and xenophobic, you liken Japan to anti-Semites, you launch pretty harsh attacks on those who aren't Korean nationalists ("demon traitors", likening them to neo-Nazis). Would you remove this content? It's racist and risks disrupting the project. — Czello 12:44, 3 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think all non-Korean nationalists are neo-Nazis. I just think 'Tochak Waigu' is evil and neo-Nazis. Japan is a clear anti-Korean racist country. This is in contrast to the elimination of anti-Semitism in Germany. (There is also anti-Semitism in Germany, but mainstream conservatives like CDU do not openly support it.) Political correctness

[edit]

Just to explain, I reverted your additions to 'PC'. I hope my reasons are self-explanatory, the content seems more about ant-Japanism in Korea than about 'PC' itself. I cannot comment on the quality of the content, since I can't actually read the sources, but we have a long-term position on the article that simple 'examples of use' are excluded. This is partly because there are simply too many things that have been described as 'PC', and partly because examples inevitably lead to WP:OR in analysing the meaning/explanation of the example. I cannot say for sure, but your content may, legitimately belong elsewhere on WP. Pincrete (talk) 07:19, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Japanese privilege for deletion

[edit]
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Japanese privilege is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Japanese privilege until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article until the discussion has finished.

Binksternet (talk) 06:08, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I found you had reverted my edit without any concrete reasons. You have not provided any reasonable rebuttal to the source claiming that Lee Jae-myung is associated with Trumpism. Bloomberg is considered a very neutral source, not a Japanese media outlet, and is recognized on Wikipedia as such. Additionally, Nikkei Asia is not a conservative news outlet, but rather a politically neutral media organization like Reuters or YTN in Korea. In contrast, sources related to Yoon Seok-yeol and Hong Joon-pyo are more questionable in terms of their credibility as they come from Korean media outlets that can represent certain political factions within the country.

My editing does not violate Wikipedia's RSP policy. On the other hand, it seems that your editing strongly represents a certain political faction in Korea, which may violate Wikipedia's NPOV policy.

Please remember that Wikipedia is not a place to advocate for your political position, but a place to provide neutral information.

Thank you. Jeff6045 (talk) 13:23, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You have previously claimed that the DPK is a 'Centre-left to left-wing' party and that Lee Jae-myung is a 'far-left'. Your editing is not NPOV at all. Do not violate WP:3RR. Mureungdowon (talk) 13:27, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for edit warring, as you did at Trumpism. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Courcelles (talk) 14:05, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Jeff6045 made malicious and destructive edits in several articles. He caused editorial disputes in which Democratic Party of Korea's political position was often changed from "Centre to centre-left" to "Centre-left to left-wing". I had no choice but to stop his destructive editing. In his Trumpist article, he repeatedly described Lee Jae-myung as a Trumpist on the same line with figures such as Yoon Suk Yeol and Viktor Orban. Jeff6045 is not unaware of the 3RR regulation. Mureungdowon (talk) 14:09, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No, he is not unaware. But he only made three reverts and decided to stop and seek outside input. You made four. Courcelles (talk) 14:13, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
However, the editing of Jeff6045 is a new one. My 4th edit was just to remove the new edit and then chat on talk. If 3RR is applied mechanically, Jeff6045 should proceed with the talk page with new content added. It gives other users false information that liberal politician Lee Jae-myung is a Trumpist. I think it is right to proceed with the talk page in its original state. I want you to unblock me first. Mureungdowon (talk) 14:17, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No that is not happening. RickinBaltimore (talk) 14:19, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That’s not how 3RR works. “ An editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page—whether involving the same or different material—within a 24-hour period.” Courcelles (talk) 14:20, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Jeff6045 deliberately set me up. The user is currently undermining Wikipedia with destructive editing. Jeff is now removed Hong Joon Pyo and Yoon Suk Yeol from Trumpism articles. In addition, he made the groundless claim that the Korea Herald is a media with a certain political color. He also defied WP:CON and removed numerous content from Democratic Party of Korea and People Power Party (South Korea) articles Mureungdowon (talk) 16:40, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It seems that you have misunderstood my editing intentions. Let me explain it.
Firstly, regarding my edits on the topic of Trumpism, I felt that the evidence for the claims made in the article was quite weak, so I deleted that content and provided a detailed explanation on the talk page. If there are serious issues with my editing, other Wikipedia users can point them out on the talk page, and I am willing to consider their feedback.
Secondly, regarding my edits on Korean political parties, I felt that you included too much arbitrary information about them. According to Wikipedia's WP:RS guideline, it is not appropriate to present one person's opinion or perspective as if it were fact. However, you wrote the content as if it were factual, even though many of the claims lacked evidence. For example, there is no evidence to support the claim that the Democratic Party of Korea is portrayed as left-wing due to the conservative tilt of Korean politics. Additionally, the Info box contained too much information, including details about political factions and ideologies that should be explained in the article, not in the Info box, which is intended to provide brief information.
Lastly, I have left explanations on the talk page for all of my edits. This cannot be considered a violation of WP:CON, contrary to what you have claimed. Thank you. Jeff6045 (talk) 16:53, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Jeff even compared DPK's "liberal" to Bernie Sanders of the United States, but there is no mention of Bernie Sanders (버니 샌더스) in the Korean language he suggested. Jeff even claims on the talk page that there is a Juche supporter within the DPK, which is an unfair McCarthyism. Jeff is not capable of editing South Korean political articles because he is politically biased. Mureungdowon (talk) 16:46, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It is not always possible for edits to be made according to your own thoughts. Please be considerate of other users' edits.
Please be calm and civil to other users. Jeff6045 (talk) 16:58, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I suggest you just accept your current block and take a break until it runs out. If you continue using this page to attack another user, you may find yourself indefinitely blocked & have access to this page removed. Just let it go for now. — The Hand That Feeds You:Bite 18:05, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The need for edit summaries

[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that your edit on 24 April 2023 to Bharatiya Janata Party did not have an edit summary. This made it much harder to understand what you were doing, and make a decision whether to revert your edit or not. The edit summary field is useful to explain your reasoning for an edit, and to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors (like me) and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. The reason why my current Mureungdowon account is blocked for weapons is because it is a sock account of Storm598. But if Storm598 accounts hadn't been subject to topic ban, I wouldn't have had a reason to be blocked for weapons. The reason why I created a Mureungdowon account is that people who abused me severely in South Korea are stalking me online. Mureungdowon (talk) 01:53, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
In terms of diplomacy, South Korean politics has some connection with American politics. Before I created my Strom598 account (I don't remember the account name) I edited it on Wikipedia for about 3 years with another account and then I stopped working, but I never got a topic ban or a block at that time. The reason I created a Storm598 account around 2020 was also to avoid stalking. I was in a very bad state of mental health then. It's not that I haven't edited American political articles with my "Mureungdowon" account, but I haven't edited them mostly. Mureungdowon (talk) 23:47, 18 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I hope that the articles or other articles I made regarding South Korean politics that have nothing to do with American politics will not be deleted. Mureungdowon (talk) 23:55, 18 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I hope they will be because the majority of your edits on Korean politics (or politics in general), both on this account and on Storm598, are evidently based on your own interpretation of sources. For example, this addition of South Korea's People's Democracy Party to the "See also" section of Economic Freedom Fighters was clearly informed by your own comparisons of the two parties, as you did not provide a single reliable source comparing the two, nor did you provide a source for the labels you assigned to the former in your other edits. Preliminary new page patrol review

Thanks for the work put into this. IMO this article needs to get renamed or merged. On the face of it, it is a definition of a Korean Language word/term, and the coverage of the term is very brief. Wikipedia isn't a disctionary, and doublly so not a Korean language dictionary. The bulk of the article is basically content on certain areas of South Korean politics. Sincerely,}}

Only Dawn of Liberty Party support South Korea is a distinct nation with previous Korea. Category containing only one article is inappropriate. 대한민국 정치 (talk) 14:34, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
