PGA-touren 2007

2007-sesongen på PGA-touren omfatter store endringer fra 2006. Sesongen blir «kortere og mer konsis», og sesongavslutningen legges helt om for å ta opp konkurransen med andre idretter som preger høstsesongen på TV. Hovedelementet i den nye tour-sesongen er en poengbasert serie, med navnet FedEx Cup, der spillerne vil samle poeng på grunnlag av resultatene i turneringer. Vinneren av FedEx Cup vil motta «den største utbetalingen innen konkurranseidrett». FedEx Cup avsluttes med en mesterskapsserie på fire turneringer (Championship Series), som kulminerer med The Tour Championship i september.

Etter FedEx Cup følger høstserien (Fall Finish), der spillerne fortsetter å konkurrere i håp om å ende blant de 125 beste på pengelisten som får spillerett til neste sesong.

Etter sesongavslutningen deltar mange av spillerne i andre turneringer som ikke inngår i PGA-touren og som ikke har betydning for pengelisten. Blant disse er PGA Grand Slam of Golf, Merrill Lynch Skins Game og WGC–World Cup.
