This figure is depicted as a young man with a clock on his head (denoting exercise by the motions of its wheels), a gold circle in one hand and a scroll inscribed 'Encyclopedia' in the other; these signify the circle of all the sciences which are attained by exercise- as well as by arms- examples of which lie to the right of the figure's feet. On the left lie examples of agriculural implements.
