The 1911–12 season was the 20th in the history of the Western Football League.

The league champions this season were Welton Rovers, the first time that the club had won the league.[1]

Two new clubs joined the league, and the number of clubs increased from 10 to 11 clubs, after Bristol City Reserves left the league.

Rules for classification: The system of using goal average to separate two teams tied on points was used up to and including the 1976–77 season. The points system: 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for losing.
