Alagoinhas is a city in the Brazilian state of Bahia. It is located at around 12°8′9″S 38°25′8″W / 12.13583°S 38.41889°W. It was founded in 1852. In 1974, the city was made the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Alagoinhas.
