Holywood Football Club is a Northern Irish intermediate football club playing in Division 1A of the Northern Amateur Football League. The club is based in Holywood, County Down, and was founded in 1983 by the amalgamation of Loughview Star (founded 1961) and Holywood Town (founded 1972).[1]
The Club prides itself on having 4 senior men's teams and a Senior Ladies team having successfully completing their first competitive season. Last season 2023/24 the First Team achieved Promotion into Division 1A. The 2nd team finished a very respectable 4th league position. The 3rd team achieved promotion from Division 2 to Division 1 of the North Down Winter league. The real success story belongs to the new 4th team. Managed by Joe Crowe the 4th team finished 3rd only beaten on goal difference in their first season. A very young squad playing up against seasoned players and clubs. The up coming season 2024/25 is looking very positive for all teams and new male or female players young and old are always welcome to Holywood Football Club.
