Stjenka Rasin is a 1936 German historical drama film directed by Alexandre Volkoff and starring Wera Engels, Hans Adalbert Schlettow and Heinrich George.[1] It was shot at the Babelsberg Studios in Berlin.[2] The film's sets were designed by the art directors Gustav A. Knauer and Alexander Mügge. It is also known by the alternative title Wolga, Wolga.

Synopsis

The plot revolves around the Cossack Stenka Razin who led a peasant uprising against the Tsarist authorities in seventeenth century Russia.
